Pro-Football Past has several types of articles that will appear from time to time. Here is a breakdown of what to expect from each.
Legendary Games:
Games that have something special about them will be explored from time to time. It could be a record breaking game, a great performance by a certain individual, a match up between two star players, or just a very memorable game that will always be remembered in NFL history.
Century Spotlight:
Century Spotlight will be the most common article on PPF, a random team, and year (pre-1991) will be selected; then a key player or the coach from that years team will be highlighted in a recap of that year and breakdown of the player's career overall.
From the sidelines:
PFP will take a look at an NFL coach that has changed the game in one way or another from time to time as well. Coaches are almost unquestionably more important in the NFL than any other sport, they have impacted the game as much as the players in many cases, but are often a faceless man in the minds of NFL fans.
Overlooked or Under Appreciated:
Occasionally, PFP will look at players that we believe don't quite get the credit they deserve for their past contributions to the game, from the field or from the sidelines. These aren't players who should be considered "the best" or players who everyone knows were great. These are players who were very solid and helped their team succeed, but for some reason or another, are not often talked about. Look at it as a shout out to the players who weren't the best, but were still key components to their teams success.
